music lab

Today in ICF we got to play this coding  game called music lab, we could make our own music and try to make different types of beats and sounds to different songs or we could make our own songs instead of creating different beats to other songs. everyone enjoyed it because it was something different and it was really fun in my opinion.

As you can see in my photo i still haven’t finished it and i need some time to finish the song and add more detail to it but if you’re bored and looking for something to in class or even with friends i really recommend playing this game, its really engaging and i suggest you and your friends play it if you’re really into music and one day thinking of becoming a future music artist.

in the game you start by getting given a tutorial to get the just of using the website. its really simple but i was on there for 5 minutes trying to figure out how to get piano keys and not realising i had to complete the tutorial to get to that part. but yeah i think its really cool and i think you might think the same as well if you try it out in the link ‘music lab’ above the image.

This week i was moved into a new class and my teacher is now Matua Joel, we have learned a lot this week especially in maths, in maths we are learning about mode, mean, and median. It was kinda confusing when i first heard about it but once i started writing in my maths book it got really simple and i started to understand a lot more.

The work in Joel’s class is a lot more different to what i had in my old teachers class but to me its a relief i get to learn something new everyday because i am finally learning mode, median and mean. were also learning how to divide big numbers and small numbers into decimals so its easier to understand, well that’s how i see it.

The most fun thing i did this week was measuring people and being able to hangout with my friends from other classes but also making new friends in Joel’s class, and trying new things to see what i can accomplish.

i found learning how to divide big numbers really hard this week because its something i have never really done before and its kind of difficult to me but i’m not used ti it so i just need to keep practising and staying consistent so don’t forget what i’m learning about the next day.

and next week i’m hoping to become better at my maths, because right now i’m not the best at it but hopefully i can get better at maths sometime next week or before the term finishes so i know what i’m doing at high school because apparently the maths Joel is teaching us is what the high schools the year eights are going to next year is the maths they will be teaching us.

Today at 9:30 my class and I went to the Alexander Library. Miss Milli and Miss absolum our teacher drove us there but there was a boy and a girl van, Miss Milli drove the girl van and Miss absolum drove the boy van.

Once we got there we were met by this lady called Jasmine who was going to tour us around the building and was telling us all the interesting history about portraits, pictures and even books about the history of Wanganui and our school. 

We went into this room and Jasmine showed us the old newspapers from  when our school opened up in 1963 i calculated that our school was 62 years old and then we went to the main area and played with instruments and they made cool sounds that sounded like birds and whistles and then we said our goodbyes and appreciation then left.

The holidays went by really fast but towards the last week they got slower. The first week on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Alexis stayed at my house. The first night we played fortnite and we had Cabonara pasta for dinner my mum made the same night we played red door yellow door and we got so scared we hid under the blankets then we went to sleep.

The day after we stayed home and didn’t really do anything productive or important but we made cupcakes which were really good because we had our cupcake with milk on the side whilst we were watching Sam and cat, victorious while also watching tiktok for a bit on our phones. We finished our cupcakes and went to my room to play Fortnite again then we played roblox after and we played an IQ test game which is  really fun and we play it every time we play roblox.

On Tuesday we went into town to go to play2win but we didn’t end up going to play2win and we went to cottonon instead  and spent our money on clothes which was only a jersey but it was blue and white and had a design which said ZYNTH on it with some other little things around it. Alexis  had a look around for the two for 5 options but there were no clothes she liked. 

After we went to cottonon  and looked around for a bit we went to Trafalgar square to get food and a drink because we hadn’t eaten at all but we went to the hot dog stand with hot chips and  other foods. We got hot chips because it was basically the only thing we could afford because i spent most of the money on the jersey i bought before that so we only had 10 dollars left over to but hotchips that were 8 dollars and a 1 dollar water in the warehouse then we went out into the parking lot to call my dad to come pick us up and take us home 

the next week on Thursday I went to Rotorua with my Mum and the first day we got to my aunties we didn’t do anything fun we just stayed home and the next day on Friday we went to the mall do go shopping and I really wanted to get Birken stocks and that’s the main reason I went because I had some money with was $100 and my mum said if the Birken stocks weren’t $380 she would’ve  done half price with me and I ended up calling my dad to see if he could buy them but he didn’t answer at the time I asked him. That night we were driving into Rotorua because we went to Tauranga to go to the mall so around the time we got into Rotorua it was 7-8 pm and we decided to get taco bell for dinner because we were really hungry and we couldn’t be bothered cooking once we ate we watched a documentary called Ruby Franke and the 8 passengers then I got bored so I decided to play a marvel game on my cousins Ps4 which was spider-man saving the city

the next day which was Saturday anything important but after that we went home Sunday and me and my mum stopped off at taupo on our way home to get me Birken stocks at Stirling sports and so my mum could go to farmers to get stuff for her hair and then we stopped off to get popeyes in Taupo and once we got home i decided to lay in bed and fell asleep which was around 5 o’clock when we got home.

On Thursday March 27th last week the whole of room 4 went to the sergeant gallery, when we first got there we had to stand outside and talk about the patterns on the new building next to the sergeant gallery. Some patterns were Niho Taniwha and  Ara Moana, Niho Taniwha represents Taniwha teeth and Ara Moana represents the water there were different kinds of patterns and shapes we talked about, there was triangles, squares, rectangles, rhombus shapes and parallelograms. After we talked about the different shapes on the new building we talked about the maori patterns on the entry leading inside of the gallery we had to look at the sides and describe what patterns we could see and we could see different types of patterns it was mostly maori patterns and we got asked on how many main diamonds we could see and it was 3 but there was so many more diamonds in one pattern we went inside and we got told to sit down on these steps by another entry to the sergeant gallery we got told to describe the bottom of the waka above us and there was maori patterns on the bottom of it and on the side but it was a bridge leading to both of the galleries there was 3 main patterns they were in circle swirls but i forgot what they’re called we looked on the side of the waka and there was 3 taniwhas carved on the side they were looking down on us but they were also looking at each other. After we described what patterns we could see on the waka we went upstairs the first room we went in had eel nets that were over 100’s of years old but also some new made ones that were a year or 2 old then the next room we went in had an animation slideshow with drawing and just other pieces of artwork after everything we explored and looked at we did charcoal drawings for about and hour and we had to do 3 papers of charcoal drawing but i only did two then after that we got to go down the elevator and we went back to school

This is my integrated learning

Today in class Joel and his son Moata and his sons friend Gio were playing Christmas songs on a tuba, trumpet and a trombone they kinds sounded like Romans farts and they played Snoopy’s Christmas, frosty the snowman and Rudolph the reindeer or something like that and other songs but i don’t know the names of the other songs they played.

Another thing we are doing in class this year is secret Santa and some of the kids in my class might be doing it i aint but also at home me and my family do secret Santa and this year me my sister and just my family my cousins and aunties are doing secret Santa but also were hosting Christmas at my parents Golf course so thatll be busy as with most of my cousins and family which is fun because we play heaps of games and do lots of challenges.

The night before Christmas or the day before Christmas we get to open one present and that goes for everyone but we only just started doing that last year because my Auntie suggested it LOVE YOU AUNTIE but when I did it last year I looked for one specific present and that was my dunks I knew I was getting and once I felt a shoe box that could open I grabbed it and my family just laughed and my mum said she knew I was looking for them and that’s why Christmas is my favourite holiday because you get presents and you get too see family you don’t see for awhile.

On my birthday it was a Friday and I had to go to school I was really happy and excited to invite my two friends over for a sleepover and we went to the movies but before the movies I felt left out because when my other friends were in the room with each other they would just talk nonstop but when I would be in the room with one of them alone they wouldn’t even talk to me and it made me feel upset because I shouldn’t feel like that on my birthday, but then we went to the movies with my other two friends Alex and Indi it was fine and all of us were talking and then when Alex and Indi left it went back to the same thing with me being left out. like it wasnt the best birthday but it wasnt the worst i liked what i got it was just how i got treated like at school everything was fine but with Telissa and Marley alone it was different being the tables switched so fast it hit 1:00 in the morning and Marley was being loud and stupid and very mean to me but Telissa was being mean to both of us because she just wanted Marley to shut up because she was being loud and my parents were sleeping then Marley was making fun of my room and she started like roasting me sorta so i started roasting her back like then i told Marley how i felt in the morning and  then she messaged Telissa and Marley said i was being a b word and blaming everything on her when i wasnt then we stopped being friends.

that was my birthday.

Today in cybersmart we are making wheres wally posts and making drawings on kleki.

this is my drawing but im not finished yet and i still need to add some people around to make him hidden it was very fun though.
